Body
Vibrancy welcomes you and your body experiences, whatever and however they may be.

Your body is appreciated here, as is. You do not need to change your body in any way, nor minimize or dismiss any of its experiences. You are invited to show up in your body in this moment, carrying with you any stories or realities that you and your body have experienced.

What is important to me is the narrative of your body - its voice - the wisdom that it holds - the stories it tells. I am interested in hearing and honouring your body's stories - the celebrated ones and the neglected ones. I'm curious how your body has supported you, how it may have surprised you, how it may confuse you, what brings it delight, and what you may be curious about when it comes to your own body experience.

What is also important to me is the narratives that other people have told you about your body. The ways in which other people crept into your most intimate and vulnerable relationship - that between you and your body - and injected their own perspectives, insecurities, and misguided information, and how this may have interrupted or interfered with your own precious relationship with your body.

The body, to me, is a multi-faceted experience. It is the functioning of you - your skin, your organs, your energy, your systems. It is also the experiencing of you - how you show up in the world, what you choose, where you go. It is also the relating of you - who you are in relationship, where you feel un/safe, what makes you feel like you belong. The body experience is a journey - experientially, relationally, physically, mentally, spiritually, holisitically.

And so, not only is your body appreciated at Vibrancy, it is valued - as a source of living, breathing, experiencing, feeling, and witnessing knowledge. Your body knows things - it has stories to tell. And so we engage your body as a vital participant in the counselling experience.

The conversations we have about your body will be rich, meaningful, respectful, brave, safer, kind, curious, and empowering.
